Mitchels seniors ran out comfortable winners away to Aughlisnafin on a scoreline of 1-
16 - 0-8
A Great team performance all round leaves the team in second place in the league. The
game opened up very open but three early scores from Michael Heaney & Ruari
Cunningham openeed a 3-0 lead early on. Both teams traded scores after that until a
Michale Heaney Goal and several unanswered point left the half time score 1-9 - 0-3.
The second half was a heated affair but Mitchels were never in any danger of being
caught and go into next week game with Aghaderg with high confidence. Best on the
night were Barry McAteer, Shannon Cooney, Michael Heaney and Eamonn Pollock. |

The senior team got back to winning ways on Friday night with a comfortable 13 point
win against Bright in Gerry Brown park. Despite missing sereral players through injury
and suspension, Mitchels opened brightly and lead by 10 points to 3 at half time. The
second half remained one way traffic and despite conceding two sloppy late goals ran
out winners on a scoreline of 0-26 - 2-7. An excellent team performance and the next
