Congratulations to our U11s who defeated Longstone in the final of their league section
on Sunday 15th November 2009 at Derryleckagh.
Mitchels dominated play throughout the game. The half-time score was Mitchels 2-3
Longstone 0-0. By the end of the game Longstone had managed two points, but were
well and truly outclassed on the day.
This was a great team effort, with everyone from Gormo in nets, Brendan leading the
defence, Oisin & Jamie in midfield, and attacking forwards like Caolan, Jack and Peter,
all playing their part in a great team win. Man of the match Oisin Hart was superb,
winning special praise after the game even from the referee!
Afterwards the team were treated to a celebration in Friar Tuck's, where they were joined
by family members and supporters.
