Near misses for Mitchels underage teams |
| Mitchels under 10s reached the final of the recent indoor tournament organised by An Ríocht. Apparently they hit the crossbar a number of times in the final game, but couldn't amass quite enough scores to win the cup. Meanwhile, our under 11s were unlucky to lose out to Saval in the semi-final of the under 11 shield. Mitchels led for most of the game, then conceded a ricochet goal with two minutes to go. Saval, their hopes lifted, went on to score another goal a minute later, and there was no time for a Mitchels revival. Saval then met Attical in the final - a team that Mitchels had defeated strongly in a recent game. But it was not to be, for either the U10s or the U11s. Hard luck lads! |
