Mitchels U12 earn good win against Ballyholland |
|
Our U12s maintained their unbeaten record in this year's league with this convincing win against Ballyholland. Mitchels dominated possession throughout, but produced wide after wide. At the other end the defenders were barely tested, such was the dominance of Mitchels midfield and half-forwards. Mitchels only scored twice in the first half, points from Conor S and Paddy McK, while Ballyholland got through for a single point.
Half time score Mitchels 0-2, Ballyholland 0-1.
The second half started with an exchange of wides, before Mitchels settled down and began putting scores on the board. A point from Paddy was followed by a goal from Orlagh. This was then followed by points from Emmanuel, David and Gary, before Ballyholland got through for a goal, against the run of play. There was time for a further point from Gary before the end of the game. Final score Mitchels 1-7, Ballyholland 1-1. Mitchels will be pleased with the result, and many aspects of the performance, but will need to find their shooting boots earlier in the game when they face stiffer opposition.
